INTRODUCTION

Founded as long ago as 1880 and based in Sidcup in Greater London, the Society continues to flourish and recruit new members.  The objects of the Society embrace the presentation of lectures and promotion of discussion on Literature, Science and Art with liberty to extend to other subjects, which have included of late, but not been limited to Engineering, History of Art and Archaeology.
MEETINGS

The society meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from October to March inclusive, other than in December when only one meeting is held on the second Tuesday. Please see our membership page.
VENUE
 
We meet at the Emmanuel Church Hall in Hadlow Road, Sidcup starting promptly at 7.30 PM and finishes at 9.00 pm. For a map location and other enquiries, please refer to the contact us page.
VIRTUAL MEETINGS

The society now holds meeting in different ways. For those that cannot or are unable to join Hall Meetings we hold Virtual Meetings and a combination of the two. For additional information please see the virtual meeting page or click here.
